Take the "Calga Interchange" exit from the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway and follow the signs to Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park. Travelling north from Sydney, the Calga exit is before the Gosford exit.

Details

A very special experience. Walk amongst friendly free-roaming wildlife, visit ancient Aboriginal sites, and join in the regular ranger-led talks and tours.

This is not a zoo. Walkabout Park is a natural bush sanctuary for native wildlife. The Walkabout Park team will introduce you to the animals, teach you about bush tucker and bush medicine, and even show you how to throw a boomerang.

For an even more magical experience, stay overnight and enjoy the wonder of an after dark ranger-led spotlighting adventure.

For the overnight “Wild Night with the Wildlife” adventure, you can choose your accommodation, from comfortable camping under canvas, to all the luxuries of home in a fully self-contained eco cabin with veranda overlooking the bush and the animals that live there!

Meet Australia's iconic animals. Kangaroos, all kinds of wallabies, emus and cockatoos hang out with the people around the visitor centre, koalas, dingoes, bilbies, echidnas, flying foxes, wombats, quolls and their other furry, spiky, feathery and scaly friends, are cared for in large natural camps, while many more creatures make their home in the bush. You never know what you might see as you wander along the tracks!
